Mother of 5, Kathryn Riley, bought Rockin’ Baby Slings in 2011 and wanted to evolve the for-profit company into a “Mother to Mother” business model. Kathryn loved the TOMS One For One movement and saw how their impact was beneficial to children all over the world. So she came up with her own- for every Rockin’ Baby Sling purchased, a Hero sling is donated to a mother in Haiti. See the short video below on why Kathryn chose to help Haitian women.
Kathryn made her first sling drop in August of 2011. She was able to teach the women the benefits of babywearing along with how they can carry their own children.

Mother to Mother to me means sharing my love of babywearing with others; moms, dads, grandparents, friends and relatives. My mother and father have worn their grandchildren in carriers. I encourage everyone I know that has children to attend a local babywearing class with me. I make it a fun trip with lunch after. I’ve even did quick mini lessons in the store.
If I won this ring sling, I’d be giving it to my cousin who has a new baby. She’s very interested in carriers and has attended a few babywearing classes with me but isn’t able to afford her own carrier. Mother to Mother means the best care for baby being given around the world. I feel that babies are most at ease and feel the most love and security when being worn by mom, dad or another loving caregiver-and what could be better then fostering love?
