Kristin, from the Ace & TJ Radio Family Baby, has been joining us every week at The Baby Grocery Store for product demos, support, and even has been able to try some awesome products. While Kristin is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her little girl, we decided to find out what she has enjoyed from this experience!
Q. What has been your favorite part so far?
A. How friendly & helpful everyone has been. And it’s not just because I’m having the Ace & TJ Baby!! Every time I’ve been in the store I’ve seen employees helping customers, answering questions, checking on baby carriers
and giving each person as much time as they need to feel comfortable and leave with a better understanding of how to help their child.
Q. After visiting The Baby Grocery Store and receiving several demos, what have you learned from that experience?
Lots!! I’m just hoping to actually remember it when the time comes to apply it but I know if I forget I can just go back in! I learned a lot of tips on diapering, feeding, carrying, etc but I’ve really learned what a
valuable resource the Baby Grocery Store is…seriously the most helpful staff.
Q. Are there any demos that you think every parent should see?
A. Baby wearing. I had it totally wrong and I think a lot of other people have misconceptions too.
Q. What has been your favorite product so far?
Either the heartburn tea - a game changer - or the Mama Mio belly oil. Stops my skin from being itchy & feeling so tight.
Q. What are you the most excited to try when your daughter arrives?
A. Making my own baby food!!! I know, she won’t be eating food for a few months, but I can’t wait to get my hands on that Infantino squeeze system!!! :) So so easy to make a large batch of food in advance and freeze it in
the pouches. And add the spoon adapter so she can eat straight from the pouch. Hello, simplicity!!
Q. Are you going to do anything that you didn’t plan on trying before this adventure?
A. Possibly trying clothing diapering. We’re still going to stick with disposables at the beginning but I was completely anti cloth diapers before learning more about them at TBGS. Now I think we might actually switch
over to cloth once she’s a little bit older and she’s moved to eating solid food!
Q. What has been the most shocking thing that you’ve learned?
A. Honestly, to keep an open mind. I figured TBGS would either be only for real organic or hippie types (which is great but not who we are) or that it would be really expensive and only for people who can afford to pay
for luxury extras. Neither of my assumptions were true - TBGS is really reasonable priced (plus there are deals on the FB page & in emails all the time!) AND they have a variety of products for all types of parents &
parenting styles. Even a non-granola, teacher-salary mom like me can get lots of great products.
